The mission of the Verona Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. is to minimize the loss of life and property resulting from fires, medical emergencies, environmental and other disasters.

We will accomplish our mission through prevention, education, fire suppression, medical services, rescue skills and other related emergency and non emergency activities.

We will actively participate in our community, serve as role models and strive to effectively and efficiently utilize all of the necessary resources at our command to provide a product deemed excellent by our citizens.

In the early morning hours, Co.5 (Weyers Cave), Co. 6 and Co.20 (Grottoes) were dispatched for a structure fire on Flint Hill Drive. E54 arrived to find fire showing and requested a second alarm for manpower. Crews brought the fire under control in about 30 minutes, but remained on scene for hours performing overhaul.

Units that responded were: E54, 62, 203, 1 (SFD), 105 (ACFR), Tankers 65, 47 (Churchville), 108 (Bridgewater), 209, Response 6, and Augusta 2.

It's finally here! The new rescue pumper arrived late Wednesday night. Chief Trey Crawford, Assistant Chief Perry Weller, Lt. Shawn Maddox and Charter member George Weller drove it back from Ocala, FL.

The pumper is a nice addition to our fleet. We consolidated a pumper and our squad into one unit. It's more practical and we hope it saves us money on fuel expenses, cuts down maintenance and repair costs.
